The XPression device controls Ross Video XPression graphics systems, so a rundown item can put a lower third, a full-frame, or a ticker on air at exactly the right moment.

Connection

Provide the XPression machine’s host and, if it differs from the default 7788, its TCP port.

Commands

Taking graphics to air

Sequencer

Clearing

Other

Framebuffer numbers are entered as XPression shows them, starting at 1.
Pair Cue with Take for the tightest on-air timing: cue the graphic when the item is cued in studio mode, then take it when the item goes on air.

State and triggers

The device reports its connection state and raises a trigger when the connection changes.
