Panasonic PTZ

The Panasonic PTZ device controls Panasonic professional PTZ cameras over the network, so a rundown item can frame a shot, recall a preset, or light a tally without a camera operator touching anything.

Connection

Provide the camera’s host, and the user name and password if the camera requires authentication. Port and status poll interval can be left at their defaults. Leave Model blank and Fabl detects the camera family itself. Some capabilities differ per body — white-balance modes and ND steps in particular — and commands the camera does not support are rejected rather than silently ignored.

Triggers

Rules can react to:

• The camera connection changes
• The camera powers on or goes to standby
• The tally changes
• A preset is recalled

State

The device reports its connection state, model, power state, red and green tally, the last preset recalled, whether auto focus and auto iris are on, live pan, tilt, zoom, focus and iris positions, and the last error.
