Connection
The agent connects to the TriCaster over the network. Provide the switcher’s host, and if needed adjust the port (default 80), the user name and password (both default toadmin — change them on your switcher for security), and the status poll interval.
The TriCaster must have a live session running (not just be powered on) for automation commands to work.
Commands
The TriCaster device supports a broad set of live-production operations, including:- Set the program and preview source by name, and cut or auto-transition — with a selectable transition type and speed
- Control M/E buses and downstream keyers (transition, or force on/off air)
- Start and stop recording and streaming, and grab a still of the program output
- Control media players (DDRs, graphics, stills, and titles) — play, stop, next, previous, and mark in/out
- Run macros by name
- Set audio volume and mute per source, and route outputs (mix/aux) to a source
- Recall and save M/E memories
- Push rundown data into on-air title templates
- Send a raw switcher shortcut for operations not listed above
State and triggers
The device reports its connection state and raises triggers your rules can react to, including:- Connection changes
- A source going on or off air (tally)
- Program and preview source changes
- Recording and streaming state changes
