Rundowns are the backbone of every production in Fabl. They give your entire team — producers, directors, talent, and crew — a live, shared view of the show’s structure, timing, and content. Whether you’re producing a daily live broadcast, a recorded series, or a one-off event, rundowns keep everyone aligned from the first planning session through the final wrap.Documentation Index

What Is a Rundown?
A rundown is a structured document that breaks your production into ordered segments, each with a title, type, duration, notes, and optional cue points or linked shot lists. As you build and adjust the rundown, Fabl automatically calculates total running time and flags any overages — so you never walk into a broadcast unprepared. When to Use Rundowns
Rundowns are the right tool any time your production has a defined structure and a clock to hit. Common use cases include:- Live broadcasts and streams — keep hosts, directors, and technical crews locked to the same clock
- Pre-recorded shows — plan segments, b-roll windows, and ad breaks before the shoot
- Corporate events and productions — share a single agenda that updates in real time as logistics shift
- Daily news and magazine shows — manage recurring segment types (intros, breaks, outros, ads) with consistent templates
Key Capabilities
- Automatic timing calculations — set durations per segment and Fabl totals running time instantly
- Real-time collaboration — multiple team members can view and edit the same rundown simultaneously
- Version history and rollback — every change is saved so you can review history or restore a previous version
- Segment-level detail — attach notes, cue points, and shot lists directly to individual segments
- Flexible export — share the final rundown as a PDF, Excel file, or a print-ready layout
