Growing your team in Fabl is straightforward: you invite people by email, assign them a role, and they receive a link to join your workspace. You can manage pending invitations, resend them if a link expires, or revoke access before someone accepts. Owners and Admins can invite new members; Producers, Editors, and Viewers cannot.

Invite a team member

1

Open Team settings

Click Settings in the left sidebar, then select Team. This page lists every current member of your workspace along with their role and status.
2

Click Invite Member

Click the Invite Member button in the top-right corner of the Team page. A modal dialog will appear.
3

Enter the email address

Type the invitee’s email address in the Email field. You can invite up to 10 people at once by entering multiple addresses separated by commas.
4

Assign a role

Select a role from the Role dropdown. The role determines what the invitee can see and do once they join. See Roles & Permissions for a full breakdown of each role.
5

Send the invitation

Click Send Invitation. Fabl immediately dispatches an invitation email to each address. The invitees appear in your team list with a Pending status until they accept.
Invitation links expire after 72 hours. If an invitee does not accept within that window, their status remains Pending and the link becomes invalid. You will need to resend the invitation to generate a fresh link.

Manage pending invitations

Open Settings → Team and filter the member list by Pending status to see everyone who has not yet accepted their invitation. From this view you can take the following actions on any pending invitation:
  • Resend — Generates a new 72-hour invitation link and resends the email. Use this if the original email was missed or expired.
  • Change role — Updates the role the invitee will receive on acceptance. This does not re-send the email; the next time they click their original link (if still valid) or a resent link, they will receive the updated role.
  • Revoke — Cancels the invitation permanently. The invitee’s email link becomes invalid immediately. If you later decide to add them, you will need to send a new invitation.

Revoke access for an existing member

To remove someone who has already joined, click the menu next to their name in the team list and select Remove from Workspace. Confirm the removal in the dialog that appears. The member loses access immediately — any sessions they have open will be terminated within a few seconds.
Removing a member does not delete their contributions (show notes, rundown edits, uploaded assets). Their past work remains in the workspace, attributed to their name.

Guest access

Fabl does not currently offer a separate guest account type. If you need to give someone limited, temporary access — for example, a freelance editor working on a single show — assign them the Viewer role, which restricts them to read-only access across the workspace. You can always change their role later or remove them from the workspace when the engagement ends.
For external stakeholders who only need to review a rundown or export, consider sharing a public export link instead of inviting them to the workspace. This way they can view the content without consuming a team seat.
