Transcoding profiles
A transcoding profile is a saved set of encoding settings. Create and manage profiles from the transcoding profiles section, where each profile defines:- Label and description
- Video codec, resolution, frame rate, and bitrate (with a constant or variable bitrate mode)
- Advanced video options such as profile, keyframe interval, and B-frames
- Audio settings — codec, bitrate, sample rate, and channels
Managing profiles and starting jobs requires the services management permission. See Roles and permissions.
Encoding jobs
To transcode a video, start a new encoding job: select the asset and one or more profiles. Each job shows its progress in a list with:- A job identifier and creation time
- The asset name and the provider running the job
- Status — queued, running, finished, or failed
- Elapsed duration, updated live for active jobs
