# Ross Video Ultrix

> Route sources on a Ross Ultrix platform from your rundown — take a crosspoint on chosen levels, fire salvos, and control timers.

The **Ultrix** device controls a [Ross Video Ultrix](https://www.rossvideo.com/) routing platform, so your rundown can change what is feeding a destination as the show moves between items.

## Connection

Provide the router's **host** and **TCP port**.

## Commands

| Command | What it does                                              |
| ------- | --------------------------------------------------------- |
| Route   | Takes a source to a destination on the levels you specify |
| Salvo   | Fires a salvo, taking a whole set of routes at once       |
| Timer   | Runs, stops, pauses, or ends a timer or clock             |

<Tip>
  A **salvo** is the safer choice when several destinations must change together — a set of individual routes fired from separate rule actions can arrive a frame or two apart.

## State and triggers

The device reports its connection state and raises a trigger when the connection changes.
