# Singular.Live

> Animate Singular.Live cloud graphics in and out, push data into a sub-composition, and clear the app output.

The **Singular.Live** device controls Singular.Live cloud graphics, so a rundown item can bring a lower third in, update its text from your page, and take it out again.

## Connection

Singular.Live is a cloud service, so there is no host to reach on your network. Provide the **app token** for the control app you want to drive; the **API base URL** is already set and rarely needs changing.

## Commands

| Command      | What it does                                                                   |
| ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Animate in   | Animates a sub-composition in, optionally setting data fields in the same call |
| Animate out  | Animates a sub-composition out                                                 |
| Update data  | Pushes field values to a sub-composition without changing its animation state  |
| Clear output | Takes out all of the app's output                                              |

<Tip>
  **Update data** is the one to use for a graphic that is already on air - a name correction or a score change lands without the graphic animating out and back in.

Field values are supplied as a set of model fields, so a rule can drive a graphic straight from a field on your page.

## State and triggers

The device reports its connection state and raises a trigger when the connection changes.
