# CasparCG

> Control a CasparCG playout server over AMCP — load and play clips and graphics, pause, stop, seek, and clear channels.

The **CasparCG** device controls a CasparCG playout server — commonly used for video playback and live graphics — using the AMCP control protocol.

## Connection

The agent connects to the CasparCG server over TCP using AMCP. Provide the **host** and, if needed, adjust the AMCP **port** (commonly **5250**).

## Commands

The CasparCG device wraps AMCP playout operations, including:

* **Play**, **stop**, **pause**, and **seek**
* **Load** a clip into a channel (including background load)
* **Add**, **remove**, and **clear** layers and clips
* Run server-side macros and send raw AMCP commands

## State

The device reports its connection state, including whether it's connected and the server version it's talking to.
